Who's Who Among Students in American Junior Colleges

Who’s Who Among Students In American Junior Colleges is a national honors program. Each year, we have the opportunity to nominate students who exemplify Iowa Central through their outstanding participation and leadership in academics, extracurricular activities (anything extra the student is involved in that is affiliated with Iowa Central. Students qualify even if they are receiving credit or compensation/scholarships), and community service (anything extra the student is involved in that benefits the community. Students qualify even if it is part of their coursework. Example would be Share What You Wear). Iowa Central Community College can nominate up to 150 students for this program. We will begin taking nominations immediately, please see the link below! The committee will review applications through February 16th, 2016.

In order to qualify students must have a minimum GPA of 3.0, completion of at least 30 (total) college credit hours, and involvement in extracurricular and community activities. Students can be nominated by faculty or staff. We also encourage students to nominate themselves by contacting a faculty or staff member to submit a nomination form on their behalf. Nomination forms will not be accepted from students.

Click here to download the nomination form or stop by Student Records. A committee will review the applications and determine the finalists.

Finalists will be honored at the Night of Academic Excellence on April 13th, 2016 to qualify for a chance to win a scholarship as well as have something to add to their resume.
