How to Disable a Pop-up Blocker if One is on Your System

Many web sites use pop-up windows for advertising messages that are an annoyance. Many users have installed pop-up blockers that will stop these windows from appearing, but they will also block legitimate pop-ups. Many pop-up blockers can be configured to allow one site to pop-up windows. WebCT uses a pop-up window for several of it's functions. Because there is no universal pop-up blocker, there is no one set of instructions on how to disable the blocker.

Listed below are several pop-up blocker programs, and links to the company's instructions on how to disable them.

Norton Internet Security and Norton AntiSpam

Mcafee Internet Security and Mcafee Antispyware

Note: There may be multiple pop-up blockers from other programs installed in addition to Internet Explorer's default.
