Iowa Central Community College Lamba Kappa Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa induced 59 new members into the honor society.

Phi Theta Kappa is the official honor society for community colleges. Each year, approximately 100,000 students are admitted to PTK.

The mission is twofold:

  1. To recognize and encourage academic achievement (12 credit hours of college level coursework and a 3.5 GPA).
  2. To provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in leadership, service and fellowship programming.

PTK advisory Samantha McClain challenged the inductees, “Get involved during the remaining month of the semester and the next years for those returning students. Help make a difference, whether that be in your community, in your classroom, or in your daily lives.”
