FORT DODGE - Iowa Central Community College has begun accepting donations for its 10th Annual “Share What You Wear” project which will be held on Saturday, December 7, at the Career Education Building. The truck for drop-off will be located directly behind the Career Education Building. Drop off times are every Tuesday and Thursday from 4-6 p.m. (except Thanksgiving week) up until the actual event which is Saturday, December 7th. Students from Student Senate will be there to help you unload your vehicle.
Drop off sites on campus will be:
Items that we will accept:
Good clean clothing (please do not donate any clothing with holes or smell, cause we throw those away ourselves if we have too)
Boots, Shoes, Coats, Gloves, hats, Toys, School clothes, Baby items, Men’s & Women’s work clothing, Sheets, Towels, Blankets, Travel size soaps & shampoos, & School supplies.
We also accept any new items that could be wrapped as Christmas Gifts.
This event is huge for the needy people in our community. We hope you can give of your time, your items or money to help make this another successful event. As usual, we will need lots of help from our faculty, staff and students to make this go. Every year, I am amazed at how it all comes together and it is a huge success! Thanks to all of you that help. This truly is Christmas for a lot of people in our community that don’t have anything. Future emails in the future will explain more. Thank you!
