Iowa Centralís Professional Photography Program provides students with an in-depth knowledge of the photo industry and all the requisite skills to go into the business of photography. Students receive a strong education in Professional Photography by participating in hands-on learning and classroom discussions in state-of-the-art studios, classrooms, and computer labs. Emphasis is placed on effective camera operation, digital image enhancement and manipulation, studio lighting, and set design for portraiture and commercial photography. Students also learn to work with the equipment needed for on-location assignments, as well as business and marketing skills used for successful promotion and sales. In addition, students will receive hands-on experiences in the field of photojournalism, recording breaking and feature news, along with extensive coverage of sports photography. Instruction is directed in a manner that assures each student receives a well-rounded education in the practical application of professional photography. We still have seats open in the first year courses. Contact Howard Haase @ haase@iowacentral.edu or 515.571.6171 for more information TODAY!
