Technical Theatre
Iowa Central has a long history of great theatrical performances and amazing concerts. A large part of this success is due to our technical theatre student involvement. From set building, set dressing, props and costumes to lighting, sound and fly, Iowa Central Technical Theatre program does it all. Through our Theatre Production courses and hands on work with professionals in the area of interest we assist the students in learning their emphasis trade and help them prepare to transfer to the four year college or university of their choice.
Performance Opportunities
There are various opportunities for students to perform at Iowa Central within the Theatre department. Below is a listing of those opportunities:
- Fall Play in October – Auditions on first day of classes.
- Improvisation Theatre for Spotlight on the Stars.
- Spring Musical in February – Auditions in November.
- Ensemble and Improvisation teams throughout the year.
- Senior and Junior Visit Days.
