Automotive Technology Program

The Automotive Technology program is designed to provide training in the repair and maintenance of today’s high tech vehicles. The Automotive graduates will be trained in entry level skills of mechanical, electrical, fuel systems, power trains, brake systems, air conditioning, engines, and diagnostics. Upon completion of the program, graduates are awarded an Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.) Degree.

The Iowa Central Auotmotive Technology Program is NATEF Certified.

Career Outlook

According to the U.S. Dept. of Labor there are over 120,000 job openings in automotive dealerships alone. To reflect this, we normally have 6-8 jobs each semester within an hour’s drive of Ft. Dodge that we can’t fill. There are many directions and opportunities that come from this degree. Below is a list of where our graduates have placed jobs in the local areas.
