Distinguished Alumni Award

The inaugural Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor given to alumni by Iowa Central Community College, Eagle Grove Junior College, Webster City Junior College, or Fort Dodge Junior College. This award honors Iowa Central alumni who are recognized for preeminent contributions to their professions and/or community. (Current members of the faculty, staff, board of directors, and award committee members are ineligible to receive this award.)

Criteria
A person must meet the following to be eligible for induction:

  1. The Iowa Central Community College graduate has been locally, nationally or internationally recognized for contributions to his/her profession or community.
  2. Alumni to be honored must have been removed from Iowa Central Community College a minimum of five years.

There are no restrictions on who may nominate.  However, those nominating someone MUST be identified and secure the permission of the nominee.  The nominator must also secure two letters of recommendation to be submitted to the Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations.

Class Size
The inaugural class will feature up to five inductees and each subsequent class will have no more than five inductees.

Ceremony
Inductees will be honored each year at the Alumni Homecoming Celebration.  The induction ceremony will be held on October 4, 2014.
