Abby Jean Nursing Scholarship

$500 per semester for three semesters (fall, spring, summer) awarded to a student attending (full-time) at Iowa Central Community College. Applicant must be in the Nursing program and have a 3.0 GPA. Recipient must also maintain a 3.0 GPA and attach an additional letter with application stating why this scholarship is important in pursuing a nursing career and why you have selected the nursing field.

Agriculture Endowed Scholarship

One year awarded to two students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College as a second year student in Agricultural Technology or Agricultural transfer student. Student must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA or better to apply. Preference will be given to residents of Webster County. Scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and academic related expenses. Applicant must also submit a 500 word essay that should include: Why you think you are a good candidate for this scholarship and your experiences at Iowa Central Community College (activities, clubs, honors list, etc).

$425 per semester for one year awarded to two students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College as a second year student in Agricultural Technology or Agricultural transfer student. Student must have a 2.75 cumulative GPA or better to apply. Scholarship may be used for tuition, fees, books, supplies, and academic related expenses. Applicant must also submit a 500 word essay that should include: Why you think you are a good candidate for this scholarship and your experiences at Iowa Central Community College (activities, clubs, honors list, etc). First preference to Webster County students.

Alice Granger Scholarship

$500 to an Iowa Central student who continues his/her education at the University of Iowa.

Alfred and Maurine Baird Scholarship - $2,250

Awarded to four students attending (at least half-time) Iowa Central Community College. This scholarship is intended for the nontraditional student (must be at least 21 years of age) and must be a resident of the Webster City School District. Recipient must also demonstrate financial need. This scholarship is renewable for a second year if the recipient maintains a 2.0 cumulative GPA, demonstrates progress toward completion of his or her educational objective, and maintains status as enrolled at least half-time.

Arthur L. Klein Memorial Scholarship

$500 scholarship to a full time student with a GPA of 2.5 or better. First preference to music major, but not required. Student must be full-time and attending the Fort Dodge Campus. Student to write a short essay on why music is important to me.

Ben Neimann Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Must be enrolled in a music related major, participated in the Fort Dodge Senior High music department (band or choral), maintained a 3.0 GPA, and first preference is given to need based applicants.

Bob Kordik, Jr. Scholarship

Awarded to one full-time student in each of the following programs - Diesel Technology, Welding Technology, Ag Technology, Electrical Mechanical Technician, and Process Technology. Applicant must have a 2.5 GPA and be from Iowa. Two scholarships ($300 for tool belt and $200 for tuition) are also awarded to students going into the Carpentry program.

Bonnie Kirkberg Van Gundy Scholarship - $1,275

Awarded to two first year students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College in the Medical Lab Tech or Radiology program. Recipient must have a 2.5 average GPA and demonstrate financial need. Scholarship may be renewed for a second year with satisfactory academic progress. (Need to reapply)

Bruce Holm NATA Scholarship - $500

Awarded to two students attending Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must enrolled in the FireScience/EMS courses of study with a 2.5-3.0 GPA.

Bud and Bill Lamb Scholarship - $260

Awarded to a second year student attending Iowa Central Community College. Student must be in the field of Humanities (music, theatre, or visual art studies majors).

Buena Vista Regional Medical Center Endowed Scholarship - $1250

Awarded to a student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Student must be in the Health Care field and be a resident of Buena Vista, Sac, Ida, Pocahontas, Clay, or Cherokee County.

Caladrine Scholarship - $1,200

Awarded to a student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Must be a Fort Dodge Senior High graduate, maintain a 3.0 GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

Cargill Scholarship - $1,000

Awarded to three students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipients must be enrolled in the Process Technology, Electrical/Mechanical Technology (AAS), Biotechnology, Industrial Mechanics Technology, or Electrical Technology (AAS) programs with a 3.0 GPA. Scholarship could tie to an internship position.

Congregation Beth-El Scholarship - $700

Awarded to two students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Must be a St. Edmond or Fort Dodge Senior High graduate, maintain an average GPA, and demonstrate financial need.

Dale and Donna Decker Transportation Scholarship - $1500

Awarded to two students enrolled in the diesel, logistics, accounting, semi-truck driving, or CNT programs at Iowa Central. Satisfactory academic standing, good moral character, and financial need are all considered.

Decker Family Endowed Scholarship - $2000

Available to students in the diesel or logistics program. Will be required to complete a 240 hour paid internship at Decker Truck Line, Inc.

Decker Truck Line, Inc. Scholarship - $500

Eligible applicants will be Decker Truck Line employees or their families. Applicant must complete the Decker Truck Line Inc. scholarship application to be considered.

Dr. Mary Sula Linney Endowed Scholarship - $1,500

Awarded to a student attending Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be a student in the arts: Art, English, Speech, Literature, Modern Language, Music, Social Science, or Theatre.

Earl and Pauline Underbrink Scholarship - $975

Awarded to a student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be an Area 5 resident (Buena Vista Co. Calhoun Co. Greene Co. Hamilton Co. Humboldt Co. Pocahontas Co. Sac Co. Webster Co. Wright Co.).

Esther Halligan Sheker Nursing Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a second year nursing student attending Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA or higher and be an Area 5 resident (Buena Vista Co. Calhoun Co. Greene Co. Hamilton Co. Humboldt Co. Pocahontas Co. Sac Co. Webster Co. Wright Co.). First preference will be given to a resident of Webster County.

Farm Credit Services of America Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a second year student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College majoring in an agricultural related field with an academic standing of 3.0 GPA or higher preferred. Student must use his/her major in the chosen field to serve their rural community and perhaps return to the farm or ranch. Preference will be given to residents of Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, or Wyoming.

First American Bank Scholarship - $1,000

$500 per semester for two full-time students pursuing a business/agricultural degree who demonstrate financial need and have a 2.5 GPA.

Fort Dodge Board of Realtors Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be a St. Edmond or Fort Dodge Senior High graduate.

Fort Dodge Coin Club Scholarship - $750

Awarded to a student attending Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be a US citizen who is an Iowa resident.

Fort Dodge Federated Garden Club Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a student attending (part-time/full-time) Iowa Central Community College who is a resident of Area V. Recipient must be going into or enrolled in the Ag Transfer or Ag Technology programs with a 2.0 GPA. Applicant must write a short essay stating why they would be a good candidate - also list Iowa Central activities, clubs and honors.

Fort Dodge Senior Class of 1940 Scholarship - $1,500

Awarded to a Spring graduate of Fort Dodge Senior High School planning to attend (full-time or part-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipients must have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Fort Dodge Women's Club Scholarship - $2,000

Awarded to two students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be a traditional/non-traditional female student who resides in Webster County and is enrolled in a Health Science program or the Science or Education fields.

Greg "Beamer" Winn Scholarship -$500

Awarded to two students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must enrolled in the Automotive Technology or Auto Restoration program and have a 2.5 GPA. Preference will be given to residents of Iowa.

Hair Cox Memorial Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Must be a nursing student accepted in the Nursing program.

Hopper and Pearson Family Scholarship

$500 awarded to two first year students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Must be an Area 5 resident (Buena Vista Co. Calhoun Co. Greene Co. Hamilton Co. Humboldt Co. Pocahontas Co. Sac Co. Webster Co. Wright Co.) and must have an academic standing of 3.0 GPA or higher. Scholarship recipients may renew for a second year scholarship. Student must maintain a cumulative 3.0 GPA to apply for the second year scholarship. ($625 per semester)

Iowa Association for the Education of Young Children Scholarship

Awarded to two students attending Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be an Early Childhood Education major and an Area 5 resident (Buena Vista Co. Calhoun Co. Greene Co. Hamilton Co. Humboldt Co. Pocahontas Co. Sac Co. Webster Co. Wright Co.).

Iowa Central Carpentry Endowed Scholarship - $900

Awarded to two students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipients must be Carpentry majors with a 2.5 GPA. Scholarships will be awarded to one female and one male student.

Iowa Central Education Association Scholarship

Awarded to a second year Voc-Tech / Career Option student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. $200 per semester for one year awarded to a second year Associate in Arts student attending (full-time) at Iowa Central Community College. Must demonstrate financial need and have an academic standing of a 2.75 GPA or higher.

Iowa Central Industrial Technology Foundation Academic Scholarship

Awarded to applicants with 2.5-3.24 GPA who are enrolled in an industrial technology program at Iowa Central. ($250 each semester)

Jerry Patterson Kiwanis Scholarship - $500

Awarded to an Iowa Central athlete with a 2.5 or higher GPA. Jerry was a long time active member of the Fort Dodge Noon Kiwanis Club involved in service projects and community service. He has made the Fort Dodge community a better place through his involvement and significant work in promoting sports especially through his love of baseball. Preference will be given to a softball/baseball player from Iowa Central’s nine-county region. $250 per semester.

John and Eva Amond Scholarship - $1,300

Awarded to student who is pursuing a music/art degree.

John King Scholarship - $400

Awarded to a student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be a Science major or enrolled in a Health Science program.

Jordan Ulicki Memorial Scholarship - $500

Awarded to one full-time or part-time student who attends Iowa Central Community College in the Fire Science/EMS program and demonstrates financial need. Recipient must perform a minimum of 16 documented hours of voluntary community service which will enhance the student experience - must receive their certification in field of study.

Judy K. Rathke Business Education Scholarship - $270

Awarded to a non-traditional student in Business or Office Technology programs attending Iowa Central Community College. Must have at least a 2.5 GPA and the scholarship dollars must be used for tuition, fees, and books.

Justin Anthony Bradley Memorial Soccer Scholarship

$200 Fall semester only for books to an Iowa Central Men’s Soccer student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must have been a Fort Dodge Senior High School boys soccer participant who plays for the love of the game and is involved in a Christian youth group.

Larry Pederson Baseball Scholarship

Awarded to a baseball player on the Iowa Central Triton Baseball Team attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must also have 2.0 GPA.

Lynnette Nickell Memorial Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a student enrolled in the Administrative Specialist or Business program. Preference given to a high school senior from Eagle Grove High School. Recipient must have a 2.0 high school GPA.

MAGWEED of Fort Dodge Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a second year Biology or Criminal Justice major from Webster County. Recipient must have a minimum 2.0 GPA.

Mark J. Smith Endowed Scholarship - $1,250

Awarded to two students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need and first consideration will be given to students of single family households.

Mercer Sophomore Culinary Scholarship - $500

This scholarship is awarded to a second year culinary student who has differentiated him/herself in the classroom, in hours of community service, and in mastering culinary techniques. Scholarship is awarded by the Culinary instructors.

Merle and Delores Kudej Scholarship - $2,500

Awarded to 4 second year students with a GPA of 2.5 or better. Recipient must possess high moral standards and be of good character. Must demonstrate financial need.

Milton and Ila Will Memorial Scholarship - $1,000

Awarded to 8 students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be a resident of Webster County.

Mitch Sterns Wrestling Scholarship - $250

Awarded to an Area V student wrestler.

Multi-Cultural Scholarship

Awarded to four students attending Iowa Central Community College. Students must fall under the New Iowan definition. That is, an immigrant who has been in Iowa no more than 5 years and in the United States no more than 7 years. The student should demonstrate financial need and the desire to prepare himself or herself for the Iowa workforce. Preference will be given to those students entering the Health Sciences, Industrial Technologies, Social Services, Agriculture or Law Enforcement fields of study.

National Council on Youth Leadership Scholarship - $450

Awarded to 8 students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be a resident of Webster County.

Nurses Supporting Nursing Scholarship - $400

Based on North Central Iowa Chapter membership NYCL membership.

O.N. Emerson/Friends of Wright County Scholarship - $850

$250 per semester for one year awarded to three students attending (full-time) at Iowa Central Community College.  Recipient must have attended high school in Wright County and demonstrate financial need.

Opal S. Schipall Scholarship - $700

$650 awarded to a student pursuing a degree in elementary education. Must demonstrate financial need and have a 2.5 GPA or higher.

Paul McCarville Scholarship - $275

Awarded to a student from Webster County who attends Iowa Central Community College and demonstrates financial need.

Paul Shupe Scholarship

Awarded to Outstanding Female/Male Athlete (must be returning sophomore). GPA and leadership skills will be considered.

Robert L. Sheker Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a student attending Iowa Central Community College majoring in engineering, pharmacy or education. Recipient must maintain an average GPA, demonstrate financial need, and be an Area 5 resident. First preference will be given to a resident of Webster County.

The Stablish Foundation Scholarship - $1,000

Awarded to ten Eagle Grove students continuing their education at Iowa Central Community College.

Steiner Family Scholarship - $1,500

Awarded to a Fort Dodge Senior High School graduating senior planning to attend (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA to retain the scholarship each semester. Financial need will be considered when awarding scholarship.

Stewart Memorial Hospital Scholarship -$800

Awarded to one student attending Iowa Central Community College. First preference to be a student (from Calhoun County) enrolled in the Health Care field with a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Student Merit Scholarship - $100-$300

Based on leadership, character and community involvement.

Sulzbach Scholarship - $1100

Awarded to two full or part-time students attending Iowa Central Community College. Students must be in the Bioscience or Health Sciences fields and have a 3.0 GPA or above. Preference will be given to students with need who are planning to work in the Fort Dodge area.

Terry Condon Memorial Scholarship - $400

Awarded to a full-time student attending Iowa Central Community College who is majoring in Agriculture or Diesel Technology and has a 2.5 GPA or above. $200 per semester.

Tom and Norma Schmoker Scholarship - Tool Belts

Awarded to a Carpentry student attending Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be a resident of Fort Dodge.

Trinity Regional Medical Center Scholarship - $1,325

$500 per semester to four students pursuing a career in the Health Sciences field with a 2.00 GPA or higher.

W.C. Cruisers Automotive Trades Scholarship - $500

Awarded to a full-time/second year student who is enrolled in the Automotive, Auto Body, and Auto Body Restoraton programs at Iowa Central Community College with a 2.0 GPA or higher. Student must attend the Webster City Cruise event at Harlan Rogers Park in Fort Dodge to pick up application to fill out for the 2015 year. Recipients will be notified after the event.

William G. Smith Endowed Scholarship - $1,400

Awarded to seven students attending Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must have a 2.5 GPA and preference will be given to residents of Iowa and students that demonstrate financial need.

Women in Industry Scholarship - $750

Awarded to four female student attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College who are pursuing a career in industry. Recipients must be enrolled in an Industrial Technology program or the Biotechnology program with a 2.5 GPA.

AG Processing, INC. Scholarship - $500

Awarded to two students attending (full-time) Iowa Central Community College. Recipient must be currently enrolled in Biofuels Technology, Biotechnology, Industrial Business, Industrial Electrician, Industrial Mechanics, Maintenance Electrician, Manufacturing Technology or Sustainable Energy. Recipient must also have a 2.5 high school GPA or a 2.5 cumulative Iowa Central GPA at the time you apply and also demonstrate a desire to succeed in this field and to seek employment in Iowa. Submit a narrative along with the scholarship application form summarizing your interest in the Agriculture industry, why you chose the program you enrolled in and your career goals in that field.

C&S Products Company Scholarship - $1,000

Must be a Maintenance Electrician/Electrical Technology student, maintain a 3.00 GPA, and be enrolled as a full-time student at Iowa Central, Fort Dodge campus. Student will be required to fulfil a 240-hour compensated internship or similar compensated hours working at C&S Products as mutually agreed upon. The top five candidates are selected by Iowa Central, with C&S Products interviewing candidates for final selection.

Julian and Frances Hogan Academic Scholarship - $1,300

Must be a St. Edmond or Fort Dodge Senior High graduate, maintain a 3.00 GPA during previous two semesters of high school, demonstrate financial need, be enrolled as a full-time student at Iowa Central, Fort Dodge campus, must use the scholarship dollars for tuition and fees first. Applicant must complete the Foundation Scholarship Application and the Julian and Frances Hogan Academic Scholarship Application.

Koch Fertilizer L.L.C. Scholarship

The Scholarship Program provides the College’s students with an opportunity to advance their
education at the College while gaining valuable knowledge about potential careers in process
technology and electrical/mechanical technology.

M.E. Fort & Co. LPA PC Scholarship - $1,000

Awarded to one second year Accounting Associate student. Recipient must have a 3.0 GPA and have at least 30 credit hours towards the ACC.AS degree (sophomore standing) to be eligible. Student may complete an Internship of up to 120 hours as part of the requirements for this scholarship. Internship hours above the 120 clock hours are optional and will be compensated.

Schnurr & Company, LLP Endowed Scholarship

Awarded to up to five students attending Iowa Central Community College. Applicants must be enrolled full-time (12 credit hours or more in the Accounting Associate major -ACC.AS) or part-time (9 credit hours or more in the Numbers at Night major – ACCN.AS) and have a 3.0 or above GPA. Recipients may be required to complete an uncompensated 120 clock hour Internship for Schnurr & Company, LLP during the last semester at Iowa Central. Internship hours above the 120 clock hours are optional.
