Jensen and Lyons promoted in Minor League
Former Tritons Brett Jensen (2003) and Dan Lyons (2004-05) have both been promoted for the 2008 minor league baseball season. Jensen, a first team All American for the Tritons, and the University of Nebraska’s all time saves leader, has been placed on the Erie SeaWolves, the Double A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. Last year, Brett had a 5-1 record, along with 23 saves, along with a 1.79 ERA in 56 appearances for the Western Michigan Whitecaps. You can follow Brett’s season at: http://www.seawolves.com/
Lyons, a first team All American shortstop during the 2005 season, continued his playing days as the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers shortstop before being drafted in the 14th round by the Washington Nationals, will play for the Hagerstown Suns of the Single A South Atlantic League. Last summer, Dan played for the Vermont Lake Monsters in short season Single A. Dan hit .208 with 17 stolen bases in 72 games. Dan hit .298 during the last month of the season.
