Brett Jensen Makes MWL All-Star Game

Former Iowa Central Triton Brett Jensen has been selected for the Midwest League All-Star game.  Jensen pitches for the West Michigan Whitecaps.  The Whitecaps are the class A affiliation of the Detroit Tigers

This will be Jensen’s second All-Star game in only 2 years of pro ball.  He was a 2006 All-Star in the New York-Penn League.   As the Whitecaps’ closer, Jensen is 3-0 with a 1.59 ERA and 11 saves.

Jensen earned First Team All-American honors at Iowa Central in 2003 while leading the Tritons to a National Runner-up finish at the NJCAA II World Series.  He then went on to star for the Nebraska Cornhuskers before signing with the Detroit Tigers organization following his senior season.
